what should i do with this story?

Awesome! I was wondering what you'd been up to

thanks! this is mostly what's happened, like, metaphorically.

hey, do you think it would be easier to read if i shrunk the images?

maybe for the ant people

the ant people and the acer aspire one users

thank you for your input: i am using this eensy weensy toy computer so it's hard to know how it looks for people on normal-size machines!

Looks good on this here uh...30" or something?

ah yeah, my screen is like eight by four. i'm saving money that i can use later to buy eyeglasses :P

Well, to be totally fair, this isn't my own personal computer I'm using. Hope you get some good frames! For some reason I thought you preferred contacts?

they call me eagle eyes though i always kind of felt like i ought to have hornrims

i'm glad you like it, c.! the eye-popping is my favorite panel too. i think i like drawing black on black.

you are amazing!!!! love this. love.

i'm glad you like it, aly! hey when are we going to see your comics?

I'm drawing & drawing & drawing! So, someday. Is the closest I can come up with.

..... shit.

That's amazing.

(may I link to it from places?)

thanks, i'm flattered!

and yes, please link away.

you are my zine/comix hero.

I loved it, and I am generally bored by comics.

Don't tell ANYONE.

prior to submission, the entry must be published somewhere first.

posting it on your livejournal totally counts. it's totally elligible. i think.

i will try it.

on the ohbusiness tip i briefly fantasized about sending it to mcsweeney's, but the text was published on my friend's blog all the way back in october so i think it was never going to fly with those guys.

i think that publishing something on livejournal is sort of neither-here-nor-there as far as being "published" goes. it is sort of like publishing ("here, read my wee newspaper") and kind of like social interaction ("i want everyone at this party to read this thing i just wrote")

totally awesome, despite not having been written while sleeping on the couch in my living room. i forgive you.

countdown to sputnik-in-nyc is ticking fast

i am glad you like it; i wanted to draw it because first it reminded me of borges (how he writes stories which seem to be nonfiction essays) and then it reminded me of richard brautigan (did you ever read in watermelon sugar and the part about the sun turning all sorts of different colors, including black, on different days of the week?)

This is great. thank you for sharing!

we should make a comic of photos of your dinners

hey weren't you going to send me a photo of francis bacon?

oh my god I think this is wonderful.

thank you, slab of butter, i'm glad that you like it!

I will pay my latefee and follow yr instructions exactly

I'm okay! These things are sometimes much harder than they should be, sometimes much easier than they should be. But that's all I'm gonna say about that. This is shared territory, and one of the things we agreed on is that it is not to become uncomfortable for either of us, esp with someone like you who neither of us is particularly willing to give up.

With [info]asphalteden, it was decided we would simply saw him in half. I got the lower torso!

you will have to reserve these very desirable comic books; use the multcolib website

i dig it -- believe i used to have "library fines" as one of my livejournal interests --.

and i am glad that you are feeling okay, and happy to hear that i have been consigned to shared custody; don't tell me more about lj asphalteden's lower parts, though :D :(

Well done chica! I like this.

How are you? I miss you! I can see tiny gestures across the surface of my belly, I wish you were here so I could show you.

xoxoxo

god i miss you too and the fact that you have tiny gestures on your belly makes me CRAZY! i would say to take a video but it is just not the same, eh?

i'm coming to the stumptown comics fest for sure, so i can meet yr small friend then -- though really i guess i met your small friend the day when we drove to get voodoo donuts -- wasn't even a fingernail clipping then

xoxoxoxoxoxo
